11 Nov Webinar – ‘Achieving Certainty in Uncertain Times’
Three weeks ago was exactly thirty years since the 1987 stock market crash, AKA ‘Black Monday’. Incredibly, if you look at any thirty-year chart, it’s almost impossible to see now. It’s just drifted into the distance like a dog without a name.
Interestingly, if you invested $10,000 in the Australian stock market in January that year, today it would be worth $137,546! And if it was yielding 6%, that $10,000 investment would now be returning $8,200 income pa, in perpetuity.
But this is what makes that return even more impressive…
During that time, we’ve had the ‘recession we had to have’ in 1990, bond market crashes, an Asian currency crisis, the dot.com boom and bust, 9/11, the GFC, endless terrorist attacks, two Iraq wars, the Lehman Brothers collapse, two Greek bailouts, Brexit, and everything else in between.
Yet despite the resilience of the markets and their inevitability to go up over time, uncertainty is never more than a breath away. And that will never change, its human nature.
A few weeks ago, we presented a webinar called ‘How to Profit in a Falling Market’. However, following the webinar we got a heap of questions about some other stuff, so we’ve produced a new webinar called, ‘Achieving Certainty in Uncertain Times’. It goes for 40 minutes.
Back to the Farm
This webinar also has more of a ‘farming’ theme to it as well. We have done this to help simplify what we believe should be your approach to retirement, especially in uncertain times.
We have also revisited one of our most popular Moowsletters ever – Playing the Line vs Playing the Field. This demonstration will help explain how markets behave and give you some insights into the current property market.
Most importantly, we are not trying to sell you anything. We just want to show you an idea that may be of interest to you. If it is for you, great. If not, that’s fine too.
So, if you have any concerns about markets correcting and would like to protect the value of your portfolio without having to sell everything, or you would like to see a more simplified approach to retirement, we encourage you to watch it.
Here it is, ‘Achieving Certainty in Uncertain Times’
Have a great weekend!
